Parents trust us with a quiet part of the day, so we want to be clear about how everything on Napmoon is made.
Who makes Napmoon
Napmoon is made by a small team that cares about bedtime. The team writes and checks every ready-made story in the catalog, from the first draft to the final read-aloud. Rusty the fox, Spike the hedgehog, Hootie the owl, Toby the bear, Hoppy the bunny and Croaky the frog are our own characters, and each story is written for a specific age group: 2–4, 4–6 or 6–8.
How stories are checked
Before a story goes into the catalog, we read it aloud and check it against a few simple rules:
- The language and length suit the age group.
- Nothing is frightening, violent or sad without comfort. Fears and big feelings are always handled gently.
- Every story has a calm ending, because the point is a good night.
- Sound tiles are used sparingly, with no background music.
Custom stories are put together by the app from your child’s name and the topic, world and lesson you choose. The app turns down ideas that do not suit children and suggests gentler alternatives.
How the blog and guides are written
Our blog articles and parent guides answer questions parents really ask. AI helps draft them, and the team reviews every draft before it is published. Articles that are weak, unclear or too medical are rewritten or dropped. We aim for practical, kind advice and we do not give medical advice. For anything that worries you about your child’s health or development, please speak with your pediatrician or a child psychologist.
No ads, no pressure
There are no ads in Napmoon, and no chat with strangers. Purchases and settings sit behind a parent gate, and we never ask for photos of your child, only a name for the stories.
Corrections are welcome
We want to get things right. If you find a mistake, an unclear passage or something that does not feel right for your child, please write to us in the app under Parent, then Help & contact. We read every message and fix what we can.
