The start of the story
That night, there was a big sleepover under the old oak. Hootie the owl spread soft beds of leaves over the moss. Everyone came: Rusty the fox in his striped scarf, Spike the hedgehog, Hoppy the bunny and Croaky the frog. Each of them brought their own pillow. The moon shone over the clearing, and fireflies twinkled in the grass. “Time for sleep,” said Hootie, straightening her glasses. But nobody felt like falling asleep.
