The start of the story
That night, Croaky the frog was sleeping over at Rusty the fox’s den for the very first time. Rusty’s mom poured a little water into a big bowl and lined it with moss, because frogs like to sleep damp. Then she turned off the light, kissed them both good night and closed the door. The den was warm and smelled of milk and honey. For a while, it was quiet. “Rusty, are you asleep?” whispered Croaky. “No,” whispered Rusty. “Are you?” “Me neither. I’m not sleepy at all!”
