Rusty’s Silver Bell

Rusty’s Silver Bell

Rusty the fox has lost the silver bell his grandma gave him. He can hear it in the forest, but somewhere new each time. Can bells run away?

The start of the story

Rusty the fox had a little silver bell. His grandma had given it to him, and he always wore it on his striped scarf. Whenever he ran, the bell sang: ding, ding, ding. That autumn morning, Rusty found a big pile of golden leaves under a maple tree. He jumped into it, rolled around and tossed the leaves up to the sky. Everything around him rustled, and the little fox laughed so loudly that the whole forest could hear.
