The start of the story
Rusty the fox had a little garden behind his den. Carrots, radishes and sweet-smelling dill grew there. One morning, Rusty heard a quiet munching among the dill. He parted the stems and sat right down in surprise. On a sprig sat a caterpillar: green, with black stripes and orange dots. It was eating so fast that the leaves disappeared one after another. “Hey! That’s my dill!” cried Rusty.
