The start of the story
Toby the bear woke up with a great big rumble in his tummy. “Honey!” he thought right away. But the jar on the shelf was empty, licked clean down to the very last drop. So Toby left his house and followed the smell of flowers until he came to an old maple tree. In the trunk of the maple was a hollow, which is a hole where animals can live. In the hollow, a beehive was buzzing. “There must be lots of honey in there,” said Toby, licking his lips.
