Under a tall pine tree lay lots and lots of pinecones. There were big ones and small ones, round ones and long ones. Spike the hedgehog gathered them into a basket. “I’m going to build a tower,” he said. “The tallest in the whole forest!” He put one pinecone on top of another. Then one more, and one more.
