The start of the story
Hoppy the bunny had a real treasure: a pink seashell he had once found by the stream. When you held it up to your ear, it whooshed like faraway water. One afternoon, Croaky the frog couldn’t take her eyes off it. “Hoppy, will you lend it to me for a little while?” she asked. “I want to show the fish how it whooshes.” Hoppy hesitated, because it was his greatest treasure. “All right,” he said at last. “Just be careful with it.”
