The start of the story

Every Thursday, when the sun went down behind the hill, Question Night began under the old oak. Everyone came: Rusty the fox, Spike the hedgehog, Croaky the frog, Hoppy the bunny and Toby the bear. They sat in the grass, and the first fireflies lit up above them. Question Night was led by Hootie the owl. She knew why the moon is sometimes round and sometimes as thin as a croissant, and where the storks fly in autumn. She answered quickly, adjusting her round glasses, and she always began with the words “Of course.” “Hoo, hoo,” she hooted. “Let’s begin!”
