The start of the story
It was a very early summer morning, and the sun was just peeking out from behind the forest. The first birds were chirping in the bushes. Rusty the fox was tugging a sleepy Spike the hedgehog along by the paw. “Why so early?” grumbled Spike. “Everyone’s still asleep, even the snails!” “You’ll see,” promised Rusty. “At this time of day the meadow looks like it’s sprinkled with diamonds.” Shiny droplets hung on every blade of grass. “That’s dew,” Rusty explained. “At night the air cools down, and the invisible water vapor hidden in it turns into water on the grass.”
