The start of the story
Autumn came to the forest in a golden cloak and scattered thousands of shiny acorns under the oak trees. Rusty the fox gathered them from morning till night, because he wanted to make a present for his friends: little acorn people in tiny hats. In the evening he set the full basket by the door of his den and went to bed happy. But in the morning the basket was empty. Not a single acorn was left, only a few bits of shell and one little red hair.
