The Secret of the Old Mill

At the edge of the forest, right by the river, stood an old wooden mill. Nobody had ground flour there for a long time, and its big wheel was covered in moss like a green beard. One late afternoon, Rusty the fox and Spike the hedgehog were picking blueberries nearby. The sun was already low, and the river sparkled like gold. Suddenly a long sound came from the mill: creeeak… creeeak… Spike dropped a handful of blueberries, and Rusty pricked up his ears. “Did you hear that?” whispered the hedgehog.
