The start of the story
In a week, Hoppy the bunny would turn five and have his very first real birthday party. He sat down at the kitchen table with Mom to plan everything. “Carrot cake with frosting,” Hoppy listed. “Green balloons. Hide-and-seek and a treasure hunt.” “And the guests?” asked Mom. Hoppy grinned from ear to ear, and for a bunny, that’s a really big grin. “Rusty, Spike, Croaky and Toby. My best friends from preschool!”
